Formal Fall Theme

We are planning on having our wedding in October, next year, 2004. I have seen lots of ideas for fall themed weddings, but we are having an evening ceremony and I would like to do something a little more formal... Any suggestions are truly appreciated!

I am getting married October of 2004 also. This may not be very formal, but I`m thinking of carving small pumpkins and putting votives inside them for the center pieces. Easy and cheap! What are your colors? I was thinking of light yellow bridesmaid dresses and have them carry orange (ish) flowers. Good Luck!

Gold is a formal color and works well with the fall theme. Maybe have the other fall colors as accent colors....yellow, orange, brown.
You can find a lot of really nice and inexpensive things in gold.
Just a thought.
