How close are you with the groom? Here is a bit of an outline hoping you had some sort of relationship with the groom before he met the bride. Start out by saying how you met him and how your friendship evolved. What was he like before he met the bride? For God sakes don`t mention how many women he`s been with or that he was such a ladies man! Have you seen that Budweiser commercial where the best man does that? You could say something like he was kind of like a lost puppy trying to find a home and when bride came into his life he did a complete three sixty. Comment (positively, of course) on their relationship and how strong it is blah blah blah. End it with the raising of the glass and toasting the couple. Ask other groomsmen for help.

My friend is MOH in a wedding and I`ll be helping her write her speech...we are all in the bar biz so I`m going to have her say something about how bar employees are notorious for dating other bar employees and rarely do you see a couple make it, how much she loves the bride, how much she loves the groom, etc. Etc.

Our best man, I`m sure, because he`s said it to me on a few occasions, will say how my fiance totally changed for the better when we started dating. Guys never like to hear how their buddy changes when they meet a girl but if you want to score points with the bride (and maybe a single bridesmaid hee hee) mention how much he changed (for the better, of course, even if it`s kind of stretching the truth). Chicks eat that stuff up...I know I will at our wedding! Hope that helps a bit...
