Caterinh Costs?

Depends on where in the world you live, and how fancy you want to be.

Here in Nova Scotia, Canada, the hotels started their catering at about $25 per person, plus tax, plus a 15% gratuity added on automatically. We vetoed that idea when we figured out it would cost about $4,000 just to feed our guests!

I ended up at a Royal Canadian Legion, where they charge $13 per person for a sit-down dinner. You of course have to decorate the place yourself, and it`s not as fancy as a hotel might be, but the price was right for us! We`re not really fancy people anyhow, that wasn`t important to us. Our wedding is 13 days away. Yeek!

What city and state is your wedding in? Also, will it be catered by a hotel or an independent caterer?

I am near San Dimas California and found the greates caterer. Our package includes: Prime Rib carving station, Chicken Cordon Bleu, two salads, hot vegetable, potatoes Starbucks coffee and cookies after dinner, Three tier Wedding cake(Our choice style and flavors), decorate centerpieces, head table, cake table, and Arch we will marry beneath. Grand total= $28/50 per person. Plus $17% gratutity/service charge and 8.25% Cali tax. We tasted many different versions of her chicken and sides and different cakes and fillings. We loved them all. She also let us know wehre she would be catering and we have visited three weddings already to take a peak of her style. WONDERFUL. We are so excited about our wedding day this October. We looked at about 5 caterers and attended about 4 bridal expos. The other prices compared to her services were about $35 p/person. So, I think we did ok.
