Seeking An Event Planning Or Admin Asst Position

I am currently an administrative assistant in Human Resources and I support 2 departments and a total of 5 individuals. My passion and ultimate goal is to get into event planning. I am interested in working with any event planner or wedding planner who needs a personal assistant or set of extra hands when things get really busy. My main goal is to learn from the best and make a name for myself in this industry. I am seeking volunteer (meaning FREE), part time, or even a full time position to learn these invaluable skills. Please understand that I am very serious about transitioning into event planning and I know I will have to start from the bottom and work my way up. If interested, I am open to providing anyone with my resume to show the current volunteer experience that I have already acquired.
