A Friend`s Wedding

A friend I work with (she`s 20) will be getting married by a Justice of the Peace. Her husband to be is in the military, stationed in a different state. My friend`s needs are money, not tangible gifts, since she will be moving (she must put everything in her small car). What should I put on her shower invitation, indicating money would be a better gift?

Showers are typically for tangible gifts like dishes and towels. Does she know where she will be moving? If so, perhaps you could research the stores in the area and suggest that people buy gift cards to those stores. They might be able to get them on-line or perhaps if they get one from a nation-wide store like Walmart she can redeem them when she settles in her new home.
