Renewing Vows Real Wedding 25th Anniversary

My husband and I will be married 25 years next March, we were married by a JP at his house for our first wedding. He promised my dad I would some day have a church wedding. We will be renewing our vows for our anniversary in a big church wedding, and I would like to wear a white wedding gown. I was wondering what the etiquite is for a second wedding. Is it appropriate?
