What To Do?
Hello,
As i was searching for the david bridal site online i saw these searches with them .and i am feeling that they didnt act reasonable the reason: my sister in law who is in india is getting married and her wish was to wear a wedding gown .even though its not a costum to wear a dress at marriage but we wanted to make her happy so thought of buying a dress since she can wear it for wedding cermony and change it later with our saree[indian dress]
So when we saw the add of 99$ dress sale we went and told them the above explaning everything. I got her mesurments i gave them and they said well its very important the bride to be here .so we told her we can do some alternations in india if it does not fit her properly .so they SAID TAKE A SIZE MORE THAN HER SIZE WAS [when we saw the measurments she did tell me what size she would be ]but when i walked out of that store i had A SIZE 18 in my hands .and later i got to know i was taken advantage of!!!!!!!!!
Because her size would be either 12 or 14!
Now after seeing all the messages i thought i should also let you of what happened in pittsburgh store tooo.
They said we will do alternations so when i took it back again [the store is 30 min drive from my home]they said it will cost me colsely to 200 $
And they said no returns
I need suggestions of what to do.
Because i am feeling bad that it will not fit her[it will be very loose for her] and i cant return it

Keep in mind that wedding dress sizes always run larger than normal clothing sizes. If she is regularly a 12 or 14 in a regular dress then a size 18 wedding dress does not sound far fetched. Besides, since the bride is in another country and you can`t return a wedding dress - it is WAY better to have too much fabric than not enough. It`s much safer to err on the side of a dress too large.

By the way, why are you having the dress altered here without the bride?????? DO NOT alter the dress without her wearing it. Wait to have the dress altered in India.

Her measurments are chest 36 cms[centimeters]
Her belly 34cms
Her waist 38cms and height 5`1
