Everyone`s Opinion
My husband and I are going to renew our vows....I would like to have it at our church but I would also prefer it to be outdoors. So,i was thinking of having it at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens (Alabama) and possibly having a reception at our church. The problem: if you have a ceremony at the gardens, you can only have up to 25 guests(very strict about it too). So,obviously,if we were to have it there,it would be immediate family only...do you all think it would be rude to have the ceremony just for the family and send out invitations to the reception for friends and church members? I really want to include everyone.I just don`t want to be rude or hurtful to anyone`s feelings. I know people do go to exotic places and elope and then have a reception for everyone later, but I`m not sure in this case if it is appropriate. If the majority of you think it would be inappropriate, then I will just forget about the outdoor ceremony and stick with the indoor church one. Thanks in advance...

My husband and I are also re newing our vows, and I also want everyone that goes to our wedding to go to the reception. So in my opinion I`d find another place so that everyone can go and no one`s feelings are hurt.

Great news,Jen! Whoever I spoke to the first time at the Botanical Gardens either didn`t know what they were doing or they lied to me! I called today to ask for information and got on the subject about it being $100 for only 25 guests (including us and the wedding party and the minister),the lady told me that the maximum capacity was 100 guests so now everything is going good. I`m going to try to get the ceremony scheduled for sometime in early May,because here in the deep south,it is in the mid 90`s by July 31st (our original wedding date)and people would be frying! LOL
