Call And Complain Like I`m Doing!
I just recently had a horrible experience at David`s Bridal. Not heeding all the warnings I`ve heard. (my bad) I was left standing around while the woman who was suppose to help me kept buzzing by saying "I`ll be just one minute" about a dozen times! I turned into Bridezilla at that point and insisted to see the manager. He came over and had to take over for the woman, By that time I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I did eventually buy my dress there but I have seen too many messages with unhappy brides-to-be and I thought a little complaining to the corporate office would make us all feel better AND maybe get this problem fixed.

What do you expect.... They make commission.... It is a DISCOUNT store... If you wanted star treatment spend the money.... Thats like complaining that the people at a dollar store didnt help you very well!!

I went to a number of bridal stores and have found service like that almost everywhere, especially the richer stores, trying to make me buy dresses I COULD NOT afford, or looked completely stupid on me. On my way back and forth from one of these stores I kept passing this little shop that had been a house turned into a bridal shop, my first though was No way! As I passed it a few times I finally stopped and this little hole in the wall shop is where I found my dream gown. I paid 600.00 off the rack for a 1,800.00 dress. Not too bad.
I have never really dealt with DB so I can`t say for sure but I do not think that I would have still bought there after that treatment. I know I wouldn`t buy from the stores trying to force me to buy.
And there is nothing wrong with customer service at dollar stores. I used to be a manager at one and my customers always got treated with respect and I went out of my way to satisfy every customer.
I have never really dealt with DB so I can`t say for sure but I do not think that I would have still bought there after that treatment. I know I wouldn`t buy from the stores trying to force me to buy.

I had an awful time at DB myself and I wound up not getting anything. Being that I worked for retail myself at another store for sometime I knew that respect is the key to a sale. Being that I didn`t get respect I will never shop there and I will never tell anyone to shop there.
They are rude! The place is messy and they take too long to serve you! They run around like chickens with their heads cut off and you the customer get yelled at because they have too much to do!

I agree with Robyn. David`s is a discount bridal store, you won`t get star treatment there. You are not paying for top level customer service. If you want top level customer service, go to a posh, expensive bridal salon and pay double or triple what you pay at David`s for the same kind of gown.

Discount bridal does not mean discount service. I don`t care what kind of store you walk into whether it`s a clothing store or a grocery store, you should still get decent service. What I got was NO SERVICE! I don`t know about anyone else but I believe that good service should be a given. No excuse. Ever hear the saying "The customer is always right"?

As I stated above, I have been to top notch places and still got horrible service. Yes, you should get good service no matter where you shop.
Being on both the consumer end and a worker of retail, sorry, but the customer is not always right. I have worked in fancier stores and also dollar stores and I have always treated customers with respect and have always tried to at least compromise with a customer in a situation where one of us is wrong, and yes I have been wrong a few times.
People are only out for themselves, most do not care about the customer, as long as they make a buck and the company makes a buck. I have worked commission jobs and would lose a sell before I would decieve a customer or be rude in anyway. I think in the 10 yrs of retail I have been a little rude to 2 customers and realized that I spoke before I thought and apologized to both and have done something to make up for my rudeness.
Just because it is a lower budget store does not give people the right to be rude!
