Not A Customer
I am not a customer at David`s Bridal, but a former employee. I gave the manager of the store a resume and she mentioned that she was hiring Non-Bridal Consultants and that she would be calling me within the week. The week passed and I didn`t hear from her, so the following week, I called David`s Bridal and l spoke the the manager and she said she was new at David`s Bridal, just two months and hasn`t had the chance to look at other resume`s and applications, but will call me back in two days, 5 days went by and nothing. I gave up, but she eventually called me in for an interview, it went great, but told me someone else was going to call me for a phone interview because she wanted me to start that week. No call ever came and I let the manager know. This went on for 3 weeks. The manager at David`s Bridal decided to hire me without having her boss make the decision because she said they need to hire a lot of girls right away to get started in training. I started work on a Tuesday. We all sat in a back room filling out papers, watched a safety video that had nothing to do with David`s Bridal store, the video looked like it was for a wharehouse, all that time, the store manager kept coming in the back and telling us she was really busy in the front because it was just her and another consultant, no other help. She had us wait for three hours and then she sent us home. I only worked three days that first week. She didn`t have any schedule made up for me. She kept telling me to call her everyday in the morning to tell me what time to come in, because she was just too busy to sit down and make our schedule. On Friday she told me to call her on Saturday, I did and she told me to take the weekend off and call Sunday before they close and she will have a schedule for me, I called, and she still didn`t. During the 2nd week, she had me call her and everytime, she still didn`t have no schedule for me, but wanted me to be patient because she wanted me to get trained properly. She told me she was always on conference calls with her supervisor about me and others about a schedule. She strung me along all week, she made excuses to me why she hasn`t made a schedule for me. Everyday I didn`t work, I lost money. For her being the manager, she was so unprofessional at her job. She made me call her, she never called me and let me know what was going on. I had to call twice a day to get the same story. I really wanted to work there, but not with a manager like her, she was a big flake and not management material what so ever. It was very stressful to wait and to be put off like I was, even her boss was a flake because she was suppose to call me and the manager of that store told me 4 different times that her boss was going to call me. These so-called manager`s or supervisors of David`s Bridal do not have much professionalism when it comes down to it, they just put you on the "back burner" and get to you when they feel like it.

I hope you stopped calling them, or even better you should just start "showing up" for work and when or if they ask why you are there just tell her she told you to come in....she will go crazy trying to remeber if she did...LOL
