Second Marriage Shower?

My brother was divorced five years ago and is marrying a woman who is a widow. They have two homes and 4 children between the two of them. Should we as "in-laws" have a shower for the bride-elect? My brothers are having a bachelor party for our brother. I have no idea if the bride`s family is having a shower, we live a distance away (2 hours).
