Surprise Vows Renewal Ceremony

I have a friend whose husband is planning a surprise 20th anniversary gift by having their vows renewed. My friend knows nothing about this, but I`ve been asked to be MOH, help with the details, and I need a couple ideas on how to get my friend to find a dress for the ceremony. Any good ideas?

Tell her you are taking her somewhere as a guest and she needs to buy a really nice dress. Even offer to pay for it (with the husbands money of course). Tell her it is very important she be there for what ever event it may be.
