Okanagan Wedding
Hi there,
I am looking to get married in the Okanagan and I would like somewhere on the water or with a view of the water. Any suggestions? Even if it isn`t by the water somewhere beautiful. I am not from there so I do not know any spots. Thanks

Hey there. It depends where you want in the okanagan. Some suggestions for kelowna: Knox Mountain regional park (overlooks the whole city), waterfront park (has a boardwalk on the water), kasugi gardens (japanese), Benvoulin heritage church (our site, and the oldest church in kelowna - nondenominational), bertram park (beware though, there is a forest fire nearby, may not be there for too much longer, i can keep you posted on that), guisichan gardens (it has a cute little teahouse).
For peachland: Hardy falls (a wonderful 5 min walk to waterfalls - flat and crisscrosses a creek along little wooden bridges)
For penticton and naramata: sandy beach resort - little log cabins on cultured lawns on the beach with wonderful lake views, penticton lakeside hotel and casino (on the lake with a pier).
For fintry - fintry provincial park (has an old restored dairy farm and beautiful waterfalls.
Anywho, hope this helps, anymore questions, just let me know.Sarah

Your welcome. Where are you coming from? Do you have family here to help? Why did you pick up here?
Good luck!

Hi There,
I am also looking for sites (a vineyard actually) and while looking I found the Lake Okanagan resort just outside of kelowna. One of the ceremony sites was right on the beach of Lake Okanagan. The fees were not too bad and they had a lovely room for the reception (the Glass room). Plus your guests could opt to just stay there. They have a wedding event coordintator named Sheilagh. She was very, very helpful. Do a goole search for Lake Okangan resort and you will find it easy.
Hope this helps and best of luck planning!

Hi! There is a beautiful spot to be married here in Kelowna, it is called the Bluff and faces the water towards the North. Evening late afternoon would be perfect, as the Sun would be shining off the water and faces the Grand Hotel and the lights of downtown Kelowna. I have been to the place and it is perfect! So Good Luck and have a wonderful Wedding!
