How To Include Our Kids

I am getting married in Oct. And my fiance has a 10 yr. Old daughter(we have a 20mo.old together). Our ceremony will be small (no bridesmaids)but I would still like to do something for her to make her feel included. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Why not have a presentation during the ceremony where you present her with a locket and she to you? My brother in law and nephew exchanged their own little rings. They read something about how they are marrying not just the wife (or husband in your case), but how you are forming a new family. Good luck with what you decide.

Hi Marisa,
I am also getting married this October and found a great way to include all of the children. During the ceremony the song, The prayer ,by Celine Dione and Andrea Bocceli will be playing .The 5 children will be called up and the both of us will present them with a medal to unite them as one family. I am using the celtic pentagram with their first inital on the back. I did a lot of research on symbols and really like the pentagram. While I was at our Renissance Fair I found the medal with what I was looking for. Good luck with your wedding plans.

You could included a child in the unity candle part of the ceremony by letting him/her have a candle as well to lite the unity candle.
