TIPS *Little Money/BIG Wedding*
Ok! I thought I would point out my tips on this WEDDING thing.. Someone posted that
IF YOU cant afford a BIG wedding then why not Elope! Why? Because we deserve a beautiful wedding too!
So here are some tips on a great wedding at LOW cost
FIRST! that gorgeous wedding dress.. WE all like our dress NEW dont we? WELL I got my wedding dress on Ebay for 75 dollars.. YES! 75 dollars.. NEW never worn... When I received it it was in PERFECT condition.. MUCH more gorgeous in person.. It has a very LONG cathedral train and lots of Appliquets..

FOOD! Family friends can help make your food.. OR if you know a family member who works at/owns a resteraunt maybe they all can help cater your wedding.. It is a lot cheaper then finding a caterer...
CenterPieces... DONT make them soo BIG and way expensive... SIMPLE is GOOD! Elegant.. It doesnt have to be costly NORE expensive... You can get Pillar candles for 1.50 or so at Wal mart.. Some flower rings and there you have it! OR you can get some Rose petals *BETTER YET Cheaper* Confetti and sprinkle on the table tops!
Table clothes - someone has told me that YES you can make your own! Not hard to do at all.. Buy lots of white fabric from the Fabric section on the 1.00 a yard table. Take it all home and start sewing.. NOT to much work at all!
NEED Music, cant afford a DJ... Then start recording some tapes or CDs.. CDs is better if you have a multi CD changer... You can make 5 CDs and play them how you want to.. There is a repeat button on the CD changer if your CDs END..
Wedding favors/Reception Favors..
HERE Is what I am doing...
Wedding.. Cards with Bells.. They have a little poem on them that say something like *Ring this bell and the bride and groom will kiss* NOt exactly like that , but that is the point of the card.. ALONG with Sachet filled with Bird seed..
Reception favors - A small rose Picture frame. Some candy or fudge made by me and sachet filled with ROSE smelling Popori *Spelling* AND a white Heart shaped candle. FOR THOSE in the wedding PLUS the parents will also receive a Ceramic wedding Bell with the names and the date of the wedding on them..
SEE! Not to expensive... I PAID 30 dollars for a Ring Pillow and a flower girl basket.. NOT for each.. Together.. AND they are BEAUTIFUL! Made out of satin with some Lace trimming.. SOme beautiful Pearls and some rosets..
Simple and very inexpensive!

I think you missed the point of what the person actually said. She really wasn`t say if you can`t afford a big wedding you should elope. What she was really saying was if you can`t afford a big wedding but want to have it anyway and hit your guests up to fund it, THEN you should just elope.

Holly - I HOPE that I did not OFFEND you by STATING my OPINION, which you COMPLETELY misunderstood.
Yes, there are MANY money saving TIPS that BRIDES and GROOMS can USE to put on a great WEDDING. But one of them is NOT charging the GUESTS for the joy of ATTENDING.
My fiance and I are also paying for most of our own wedding costs, with a bit of help from family. Yes it`s expensive, even when you`re doing all you can to save money. But we would never stoop so low as to ask my guests to fund the thing. My point was that if we weren`t able to afford the wedding we`re having, we wouldn`t be having it, we`d do something else.

I understood what you meant... I think! LOL BUT after I read what you wrote I thought I would add a few tips to help those wondering on HOW to save money...
I hope you didnt take my reply offensive or anything.. IF SO ! I do apologize.. I just wanted them to realize that NO need to elope if you really want a big wedding...
