No Gift For Now

I moved away from home. Got married in the state I live in. Going back home for small wedding reception. Do not want wedding gifts. Having house warming party later, want gifts for that. How to put into invite?

Sounds simple enough. Write "Please, no gifts".

According to etiquette you are not to mention this on the invite. The best way is to send the standard type wedding invite then when the person sends their reply get your brides maids or groomsmen to call to notify the person of your wishes (that`s one of the reasons why they are there) but don`t insist. Some people find such joy in gift giving.
