HOW did your current Fiance PROPOSE to you!?!?!

YUP I want to know! LOL I had a WONDERFUL proposal and want to know HOW lucky the rest of you were with a r omantic sweet or FUNY Proposal..

MY Proposal!!

OF course I did NOT know about it..

My Fiances sister and her boyfriend offered to take me and my Boyfriend* at the time* Out for dinner.. So we agreed.. What could go wrong.. Sounded luck fun!

December 6th 2002..

We drove over to her house. Found out that her boyfriend was sick and he could not make it so she didnt want to go.. She though my boyfriend and I could use some time alone.. So She offered to watch the children for us.. (We have 3 children ages 4,3 and 1)

So we alone. We ate dinner which was great.. We had gone to a Greek Italian resteraunt.. My favorite place!!
The waitress came and asked if we wanted desert.. Me of course said No.. I was soo full I couldnt eat.. So my boyfriend said yes.. *HE usually says NO*! BUT I didnt think anything of it..

The waitress came back out with a Teddy Bear holding 2 red roses.. OH MY Soo sweet.. I thought that was all there was too it... BUT there is more! LOL

She brought out the desret.. Every one in the resteraunt watching .. On the desert was Whipped topping and a cherry.. Around the Cherry my Ring.. I was almost in tears..

He asked me and I of course I said yes!! Think thats it? NOPE! there is more! LOL

The Manager of the resteraunt came back to say congrats to us.. I said thank you! he said I have ONE more thing for you! *What else could he possibly have I was thinking*

He came out with a camcorder. He said he video taped the Whole thing from the Teddy to the proposal! WOW! So I have it On video too... Im soooo happy!

It was a wonderful proposal.. SOO Romantic and sweet.. And FUN! I was completely in shock because we have been together for 5 years.. It finally happened!!

SO tell me how you were proposed too!

I had been dating joe for 2 years April 1st (yes, april fools day was our first date - go figure, it could`ve been some kinda cosmic joke). He had helped me live through the worst year of my life, 4 months after we started dating, i was hit by a car while riding my bike. Then 2 of my grandparents passed away within a month of my accident. I gained 40 pounds because i couldn`t exercise because of my injuries and then lost one more grandparent about 8 months later. I was so depressed and moody from all that was happening in my life, and i felt like i lost everything (including my house because of financial hardship following my accident). But, you know what? Joe was there through it all. On our 2nd anniversary, he took me to a beach that we used to go to right after my accident to talk and cry and yell(whatever i needed to get my feelings out). He looked at me and told me how beautiful i was to him and how much he loved me and then he asked me if i would spend the rest of my life with him. I started jumping up and down and yelling YES! YES! YES! I was so excited i grabbed him and started hugging and kissing him, he then said "do you want the ring?" i was so excited that i had not even noticed the ring in his hand. He slipped it on my finger and told me that it was his late grandmothers engagement ring (he had gotten it from his mom). To my surprise, it had fit perfectly (he had taken one of my rings that i wear and had it sized). Afterwards we went out for a nice dinner and then had fun playing april fools jokes on our family over the phone (we called his mom who knew he was going to propose and i led her to believe that he hadn`t done anything. She was like - so anything new? and i`m like, no not really). It was a great and fun night!

I posted the same question a few months ago! Here is my original post:

Hey yall-

I am wondering how everyone got engaged? I love to hear these kind of stories and know that people love to share them!!!

I will start....
My fiance, Adam, and I have been dating for 6 years. We met first during my Freshman year of high school (his Sophomore year of high school). We finally began dating during my Junior year of high school and his Senior year of high school. He asked me to the Homecoming dance that year and we have been together ever since!!! We survived our college years together (even seperated for 4 years by schools) and are now engaged to be married. This past spring break (March, 2003) he proposed to me on a vacation to New York City. We went to the city together for a week long vacation from school, work, and the every day bump and grind of being at home. I was looking the most forward to taking a carriage tour of Central Park and he knew that. So, on our very first night in the city that is what we did. We went out about 9pm and caught the very last carriage tour of the night. We rode around Central Park cuddling under a blanket getting the "down low" on all the famous places in the park and in the city. During this ride, he looked at me, pulled a little black box out of his coat pocket, and under the moonlight in the middle of Central Park asked me to be his wife!!! I was incredibly excited and had been waiting for that day for about 5 years. For the remainder of our vacation he went around with a huge grin on his face telling just about everyone we saw (no exaggeration here!!!) that we had just gotten engaged. He was so enthused that is was just adorable!!! Later that week we were on the Today Show and were interviewed by our favorite weather man Al Roker!!! I got the opportunity to show my ring to my entire family and announce our engagement to the nation!!! We are now in the process of site scouting for our wedding which will be taking place on June 18, 2005. This was definately the most exhillarating time in my life. The one time that I couldn`t stop smiling and welling up with tears of joy and excitment. I wish for everyone in this world the joy and happiness that we share together and for the excitment of a sweet and heartfelt engagment.

What is your story???

Candy, I am sure that I saw you on the Today show. Congratulations. I got engaged May 22 2003. My fiance took me to the beach and our favorite restaurant. He got on one knee, held the ring up and asked me to marry him. I was shaking when we went into the restaurant and found out everyone had seen.

Everyone all your story are great!! here goes mine

I met my husband in Oct of 1982 in Spain, He is a retired AF. I was gorking on a bar and he came in to have a drink, it was really hard to talk t him, because he did not speak any spanish and I spoke hardly any english, so my roommate have to translate and help us all the time, it was and intersting courship as you can imagine alwasy the 3 of us, or when we went by ourselves, we were always carrying dictionaries.
One day he asked my if I will move in with him, because it was a waste to pay 2 rents when we were all the time together, I toll him " OK, but this do not mean that I will marry you or anything` and he responed, that he was not asking me to marry him, so I agree to meve in with him, and of course my roomate move in with us, because we had an extra room, so it was really great. After leaving with him for about 4 months, he never asked me to married him, but all of the sudden we started to make preparations for our wedding, he pulled out some paper from his military bag, and he asked me to fill them out, ( when your are overseas, they have to do a check oh you, go to the Dr and a buch of other stuff =8) )
We got married in July of 1983, in the court house, it was really small, couple of friends came to the house so not a big deal. In 1999, he was sent to the desert and while he was there he asked me if I will marry him again, and of course I said YES!!! I have been waiting to hear those words all my life -)
We started to plan the wedding and decided to do it on our 20th anninversay. I really wanted the real wedding that I never had. So that is what we did this past July, it was the best day of my life, I felt like I was the queen of the world, even that we were on a budget, I have been buying differents stuff for the last couple of years, and using some of the stuff that we already had and the wedding went on. Let me tell you my little Yankee is the best in the world, and I love him so!!
Keep those stories coming, they are great to read!!

Jenn-

We were on the Today Show on Thursday March 6, 2003 (the day that Queen Latiffah was on singing songs from the movie Chicago on the plaza). That would be funny if you saw us, as everyone at home saw it too! We never knew that soooooo many people watched the Today Show!! It was funny because we didn`t tell anyone that we were definately going to the show....I guess people don`t work anymore! LOL

I met my fiance by chance. I was online one day and saw a dating service pop up add...I thought it would be interesting to read peoples profiles. I never intended to talk to anyone. But little did I know my perfect mate was in there somewhere. Anyway needless to say I started talking to him and after a few weeks decided to meet him face to face. I really didn`t believe he was real. He sounded too good to be true. We finally met on May 15th and on July 15th he proposed to me at a restaurant called Pampas...best Bass I have ever eaten. Anyway, he said we were having dinner to celebrate our two month anniversary. He gave me a little book as a present so I thought that was it! Nope, he had more plans. After dinner he said that he needed to use the restroom and when he came back out I didn`t notice that he had an engagment ring on his finger. He was in the middle of a sentence when he pushed out of the booth and went down on his knees. At that point I got really excited and started to cry. I almost answered him before he could get the whole question out. Everyone in the restaurant was watching us and wished us well as we left. The wait staff also wished us well. He definately surprised me! I cannot wait to become his wife. He is perfect for me!
