I Love My Wedding Dress, But Those Tattoos!
I have finally found THE perfect dress for me. I`ve never been one for dresses, but when I tried this one on (capped sleeve, a-line with empire waist from Carole Hai`s Moonlight Collection), I just KNEW it was the one for me.
My only problem is, I have tattoos on both my shoulders. I recently purchased the "tattoo coverup kit" from Covermark, and it works GREAT!, with the exception of if it is applied too heavily, or incorrectly..it will "pat" off on fingertips and on clothing. I am SO terrified that it will come off on my capped sleeves or worse yet..leave a screaming streak of makeup on my veil. Should I just go with a strapless gown (by the same designer), and wear my hair up..to reduce the chances of problems, or should I just stick with this gown and hire a pro (at an expensive price) to apply the makeup and just cross my fingers?
HELP!

You can also wear a shawl to go with your gown to cover up some tattooing.. ALSO! Your veil will cover up some tatoos as well... Maybe not much, but some..
Are they BAD Tatoos that not every one should not be seeing? Are you embarrassed that others will see them? Photographs you dont want to see them? I would not pay a lot of money to have them hidden no!.. Try a shawl first to see how it looks with your dress...
Good Luck

Heres an idea...if the cover-up that you purchased works try a product called "shellac" by benefit. It can be purchased at macys and will seal any make-up application

I have the same problem and I am about to purchase this product. You say it works but rubs off?
I have bright and huge tattoos on my back that I love but don`t want them to show. I thought of a shaull, but if I don`t have to wear one, I don`t want to.
Have you heard of Dermablend, I heard that stays on.

I don`t really think the shawl idea is practical. You cannot keep the shawl on at the alter, or would you want to keep it on all night long? Why buy a beautiful dress to just cover it up with a shawl all day/night?
Sorry, just my opinion.
