Blessings Tree

Hi, we have a wedding coming up in March 2009 and I`m look for a tree to use at the reception. The guests will write special messages to the bride and groom for momentos. Money is tight as we have been affected by the economy crisis. We live in CA. If anyone has any suggestions as to where I might be able to find one or maybe a similar idea, I would really appreciate it. I thought this would be a simple find, but the prices are outrageous. Maybe I could make one? Ideas appreciated. Thanks.
