Hawaiian Wedding

I am planning on a beach wedding in Hawaii,,,originally it was just going to be the two of us, but I have decided to at least extend the invitation to family even though they may not be able to come. Does anyone have any advice on how to "word" save the date card to say we would love to have you, but if not that is okay too? Also any tips on Hawaiian weddings would be great!!

For the Save the Date cards, maybe say something like this...
Sandi and Joe
Would love you to save the date for
Their Hawaiian Wedding
July 4, 2004
We would love for you to be there
It would mean so much
But if you can`t, we understand
We`ll send you pics and such.

....or maybe plan a reception for your return following the honeymoon.
Saying...
Since the location is so far away
We know not all can come
We`ll send information on a reception
When we return.
