I made my center pieces, and everyone complemented me on them,,,, I got a small glass globe from Wal-mart (they cost me $.50 ea) I put white sand and I got some gold and silver sand from a craft store, and I got some Gold and silver Butterflies and Dragonfies rubins at Michaels, , got white flower rings and I did put votive candles in the globe, they really look great and they did not cost me more then $5.00 a piece.
I hope this help.. Good luck

I bought some Gorgeous Candle Holders for $0.99 & then bought $0.50 Taperholders & I glued them together to make our centerpieces. They look like flowers on a stem & then you buy the colored candles to match your colors.

We are having a march daisy- themed wedding and bought big glass bowls (about $5 each) and are putting a bunch of daisies down inside the bowl with flowers facing the outside and then sticking a candle out of the middle. Total cost with bulk daisies will be about $10.

I am also looking for ideas for cheap centerpieces. My wedding is next June and the accent colours are silver and lavender. I like the idea of the the globe and the sands - but I don` t know what you mean by the globes??? I was thinking of a vase with beads in it and flowers. I will be waiting anxiously for any helpful suggestions. Thanks and good luck to all!

Lay a flat round or square mirror in the middle (about 2.00 at craft stores.) Take three pillar candles in different heights ( I have found solid lavender and solid silver) Wrap tulle around the bottom or glue flowers and you can still light them. Sprinkle glitter or rose petals on the mirror. This is what I am planning on using. Looks good and really reasonable.

Thank you for the ideas! Don`t some halls have rules on lighting candles that are not in votive holders? I should check into that. The candles sound really nice and the mirrors are something I will look into for sure! I was thinking of flower vases with a few fresh flowers and beads at the bottom. All the best!

You`re right about some halls not letting you light the candles. Ours is okay with it because we are using the big round candles that will sit flat.. I considered sitting the candles on one of those small wrought iron stands spray painted a glittery silver instead of directly on the mirror. Definately look into the mirrors and rose petals. It`s a great way to make your centerpiece seem larger without spending a fortune. Any good ideas for flowers for my bridesmaids? White roses with lavender ribbon??????
