Sounds like a total scam...

I too received a message to buy a dress from Ashley Minydzak and then from her fiance O`Hare. They said they were sending me a refund check, to cash it, take my money, and send the rest to Jennie R.Gadowski 105 E Town Line Road
Vernon Hills, IL 60061. Sounds like a scam. Plus, the english is so bad, the person keeps contradicting themselves. No go for me. Good luck.

I got an email from "Ashley Minydzak" then another email stating that this person is the fiance who will be handling the transaction. Apparently I`m not the only one receiving this email, this is definitely flagged as a scam!

I just got the same e-mail after posting my wedding dress on Craigs List!!! omg. I`m so glad you girls posted this, I almost got scammed. They said they sent me the check but I will not be cashing that! I think I will e-mail them and tell them I got the check, cashed it but will not send them a dress or the difference of their money....see how freaked out they get.
All joking aside...... This sucks. I put their e-mail below for future help.

I’m not trying to promote their site at all, But it’s a safer suggestion.

The site lets you post wedding items for free, the post stays up for about 18 months, and transactions are made through PayPal.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday!!!
I put my wedding dress for sale on craigslist and a person with the e-mail Lynn grahmn asked if she could buy it.
Then wanted me to send it to Jenni along with the rest of the money.
Sounds like a TOTAL scam to me!!

BEWARE of these ppl!!!

I also recieved an e-mail from Hynne Graham and days before from a Charles King which was almost exactly the same e-mail as the one that was posted in one of the other comments. I`m putting on my posting, cash only and pick up only. Just beware!!!

I too had trouble with this (or these) people, but they used different names and a different address in Kent Washtoning. I was trying to sell my dress on Craigslist and heard from them. The second e-mail was supposedly from the fiance telling me he was taking over the transaction. Pretty much the same situation as the others, I think they even copied and pasted the same story. I will post the last e-mail I received from them...

Thank you so very much, everyone! i just almost got scammed too from craigs list for a wedding dress. However, i got a different name than you did (Meagher Eidem). Boy am I glad i decided to google her name and this immediately popped up! thank you guys so much! that`s it for craigs list for me! i told the guy no way! hope no one else gets scammed by him. Whew, that was close!

WOW, I am glad that I went with my frist mind to ignore this email. It seemed a little too good to be true (with OFFERING 100 to ship my dress). I knew that it sounded weird. I merely googled the address listed in the email that was sent to me...and your blog came up. I am thankful for this blog, although I wouldn`t have accepted the certified check. Yes its still avaliable. The site is 24 but i wasn`t a 24 when i got married. I was more like a 20-22. Wedding dresses do tend to run small. What information would u like to know? Its a beautiful dress that someone else can get use out of.

I too received the EXACT same email as you did (above), word for word. This guy needs to be stopped! I hope no one else has actually gotten scammed by him. I am so glad that I googled the name and came up with this website, and am glad that others are doing the same. Watch out for craigs list (that seems to be the place the most scammers come from). I learned my lesson and my dress is no longer posted. If anyone wants to sell their dress, I have heard of a website Recycle Your Wedding LLC where you can buy and sell wedding items. It seems legit. MIght be worth checking out. Here is the email I got too (exact words used).

I agree he does need to be stopped. I have contacted the Kent washington police and gave them the address. I think everyone else should to the same thing so he can be stopped but I have a feeling the people at the address don`t know what is going on and that the real person in charge is in another country.

I have already reported him/her to craig`s list just to let them know what we all are finding out. Hope everyone else has better luck with selling their dresses. I would stay off of craig`s list, unless you can get someone in your own town and meet them in person. Thanks for your help and for posting.

The same thing happened to me. This person claimed to be the fiance of the bride and went by the name of Sucre Tkach this time. They wanted to send me an extra $100 via certified check for shipping and handling of my dress to the address in WA. This is a total scam. The certified checks are fake and by the time you deposit them and ship your merchandise, the bank will hold you responsible for the monies. I have forwarded the email to my local FBI office and hopefully they can link whoever is doing this by the IP address that the email is registered to.

Wow...I`m glad I trusted my gut to look this up...I just received an e-mail from Ashley Minydzak regarding her interest in my dress. I now know not to worry about meeting up with her. Thank you to all who have posted for this.
