Wedding Celebration 1 Year Later

Our son was married suddenly in england Feb 2003. We the parents did not attend the wedding. We would like to have a celebration (with friends and family), but our son will not be home until May 2004. How do you go about inviting everyone. There are some that do not know he is married. Wording is my main problem. The party will be casual. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

Well it`s way too early to send out the party invitations. I would send out announcements right away to all the friends and family.

A traditional wedding announcement is worded something like this:

Mr. And Mrs. John Doe
Have the honour of
Announcing the marriage of their daughter
Jane Lynn Doe
To
Tom Brian Smith
Sunday, the fifteenth of February
Two thousand and three
London, England
