Terrible Customer Service

The first time I went to House of Brides in Orland Park, my consultant Erica, was very nice. I liked her a lot because she really seemed to care about my wedding. Every other experience I have had there was AWFUL. Unfortunately, the next appointment I had was with a different consultant and she seemed to have cared less. When I was purchasing my dress, I spoke to about three different people who didn`t have a clue as to what was going on. The only discount I was offered was around $60 and it only covered the tax on the dress. When I asked the manager if the dress would ever go on sale or could be discounted further, she was extremely rude and snotty. Her exact response was "Well I guess we could take another $10 off, but that`s all we can do". BIG WOOP. Another $10 off an $800 dollar dress is not even worth my time.

Then I had a question regarding bridesmaid dresses, so I called. The receptionist was nice and tried to help me out the best she could, but I had to be forwarded to a manager. That was a joke. She was rude, impatient and could have cared less about my question. I had asked her about the Jordan collection and which dresses they had available. I also asked her if I brought in pictures of the dresses I was looking for, could we try and find a similar dress if they didn`t carry that exact style in stock. Apparently I must have offended her because of the snotty response that I received. She told me "No bridesmaid is the same and it would be impossible to match one dress with another." Well thank you for that ridiculous response, but that was not my question. I`m sorry to have wasted your precious time and been such an inconvenience to you.

The only another good thing I will say about this store (and the ONLY reason I went back) is that they have a large selection of bridesmaid dresses. However, when my appointment came to try on dresses with my bridesmaids, the experience was NOT good. Not only did we have to do everything ourselves, they would not offer any kind of discount to my bridesmaids. I have 6 of them AND I bought my dress from their store. I felt that the least they could have done was offer them 10% off or a free accessory. Nothing. I was absolutely livid. Erica was our consultant for this appointment, which I was happy about, however her manager had her so overbooked with other clients, we had next to no time to even spend with her. I had tons of questions that she tried to answer, but I really felt short handed because she could not devote much time to us.

This store, besides Erica, is absolutely the most ridiculous, waste of time, I have EVER encountered. Take a word of advise, they DO NOT care about you or your wedding. I would never recommend this store to anyone and I would advise anyone interested in this store to look else where first. I just can`t believe that they are still in business based on their extremely poor customer service. If by chance anyone from this store reads this review, which I`m not expecting due to the lack of care for their customers, I would absolutely love to speak to the stores owner and let them know just how I feel about the business they are running and their employees. However, I don`t see that happening because I was told that the storeowner is rarely available. How convenient for them. I hope this review is helpful to others and they take my advice!
