Quinceanera
Hi there i was reading the messages and im delighted to see that there are so many still to have thier quinceanera.. I just wanted to say that i have been reading for sometime now.. And im pleased to say my daughter`s quinceanera turned out lovely.. She had gone with the traditional pink dress and her damas wore a deep burgundy to coincide with her color the chambas wore black and white zoot suits with the chicago style hats and the black and white shoes with chains they all looked so sharp.:) for her crowning we did not do it at the ceremony we did it at her reception before her father had his last dance with his daughter.. The song you wont find any where else it was written especially for her from a group called "grupo obsession" and has not been published-- simply for the fact it was written jsut for her it is a beautiful song.. I wish they would release it for the rest of you to use..it is called "mi nina, mujer"I did all the decrating myself and made the centerpieces out of champagne glasses --and i bought an archway for 10.00 dollars (it was beter than renting one for 60.00 dollars) and i decorated it my self .. We had an out door buffet that was great..and the reception dance inside the hall it saved us 500.00 dollarsher limo was a stretch limo that held 18 people.. At the church part for her offering of flowers to the virgen we did something different.. Each dama and chambalain carried a single rose in all white except for her chamba de honor he carried the single pink rose to represent my daughter and whent he time came for her to present the virgin with the gift of flowers they each came up to my daughter and presented her with the rose and returned to thier seats then she took the flowers to the virgin-- of course we ahd put the earrings and necklace and cross all her jewelry on her at the church-- it was so pretty--it is a great event and i wish the rest of you a wonderful day for your quinceanera!!! by the way center pieces didnt cost much to make and they were lovely!! easy to make also..any how thank you all for the input during this time and for the help!!
