Anne Barge- Wedding Gown
I bought this beauty a few months ago but we`ve decided on a Hawaii wedding and the other dress suits our tropical theme better ....sooooo! It`s a simple elegance gown, easily alterable size 10, it exemplifies everything Anne Barge is known for if you`ve see any of her other gowns.. This particular Anne style doesn`t crop up very often -- I`m told . This dress sells retail for upwards of 3-4,000 dollars and I was blessed to grab it much lower and want to pass it on to someone who will use it! It is -100%- an authentic Anne Barge! Onto the dress! This dress is a very smooth pearl (light ivory) that suits all skintones...I`m fairly pale and it`s lovely. ALL Anne`s are 100% silk with 100% satin lining, most are usually beaded by hand and this one looks like it is too. The bodice is strapless, it is beaded and embroidered -- the beads are crystal, it`s a simple design that repeats all over the top bodice. The bodice has a dropped waist that wraps around into a inverted half-moon in the back and there`s a chapel length train. I just LOVED the train...it looked like a pool of water flowing behind me! What was great was that it had what they told me was "built-in" support, basically cups sewn in and the like. The dress has slight dirt on the underside from when I walked around the store, but it`s not really noticable, and can be cleaned, the clasp will need to be installed since it fell off.Just so you know it is 100% unaltered, original length...these dresses that don`t have fancy hems are great for altering, very simple. Again, it`s a size ten, which according to the sizing chart is a 35.5" bust, 27" waist, 38" hips and it`s a typical 59" from "hollow to hem". Please feel free to write me! I have beautiful pictures that I`d love to share if you want more information. At this point I`m also moving into his place, so I`d like to clear it out and get the dress into the hands of someone who plans to use it! I will entertain all offers, so drop me a line!
