Aussie Needs Advice/Help With Maggie S Please
Hi Ladies,
I am an Australian that needs some advice/help with the Maggie Sottero Designer Range. The nearest retail store to me is 22 hours drive away! So any help would be appreciated immensely.
ADVICE please.......
I am getting re-married in February 2004 (grooms first marriage).
My measurements are 36 - 31 - 39.
I have fallen in love with the pics of bustled & corseted Maggie S Gowns called; STEPHANIE, SARCHI, MOULIN ROUGE AND JULIE. Hard to tell in the pics if all are both.
Could someone please advice as to which one would suit my size/shape the best?
HELP Please........
Even thou Maggie Sottero is an Australian Designer, I have priced the above Gowns in Australia and they start from US$1057!!! (As we have 3 girls and neither parents are financially contributing to the wedding, the budget is rather tight) and that price is FROM AU$1600!!!
Does anyone have any of the above Maggie S Gowns `as new` or `nearly new` for sale? I have a girlfriend that will be vacationing with me from NC in 8 weeks, and she will happily transport the Gown to Aust for me.

Hi again,
Can anyone who has tried on the Maggie S range please advise which Gowns are both bustled and corsetted? (for example my most favorite front is the Symona but unfortunately it is not corsetted)
Perhaps the Dion too if anyone has information on that one too.

Hi I am an Aussie too currently living in Canada but planning to marry in Brisbane in March 2004. I know what you are saying about maggie sottero dresses. I have heard some great reports about the interent companies that sells these dresses - good prices and most of them ship to Aus too. Check out bridesave.com Alot of these copnaies quote in US dollars but even with the converstion it comes out cheaper then purchasing in Aus..weird I know!!

Hi Tracey, I`m not sure what a Maggie Sottero Design looks like however you did mention corsette etc. I have a gorgeous "Sweetheart" gown in a size 10. It has spaghetti straps and a fitted bodice with delicate beading etc. It`s very elegant without frills and too much fuss. I`ve had it professionally cleaned and purchased a bridal bag for storage. This was my second marriage with children so I understand the struggle with expenses. I`d be happy to e-mail you photos. I felt like a princess wearing this gown and my marriage has been so blessed. I paid almost $800 Canadian and would sell it for $300. I live in Alberta,Canada but shipping wouldn`t be a problem. E-mail me if you`re interested in more information. All of maggies dresses are great. My measurements are waiste-28, hips-39, bust-36 and all of her dresses i have tried on look great on me. The julie is really pretty, but a little more plain than the others. The cassandra is very slimming and so is the dion and they are a little more fancy. The julie runs around $500-$650, depending on where you live, the dion and sarchi are around $1000 and the cassandra is around $750. Maggie dresses run a little small, around 1 size smaller than normal but really save in alterations because of the corsett back. Let me know if you hve anymore questions.
