I HATE VENDORS

I want to start out by saying that "I LOVE THIS SITE" !!
I was married last month and I got sooo much useful information off this site and the people that visited it. I am addicted to it so from time to time I still log on to see other people`s wedding themes. (guess it`s my way of giving back all the positive ideas I received). I am also using it for a friend of mine who recently got engaged. The only thing I HATE is when people from other wedding companies, wedding vendors, wedding consultants etc. Constantly push themselves & their business on every thread. It makes the site go downhill because what bride has time to sift through advertisements! It also makes that company seem desperate. PartyPop ... Thanks for all the positive people and advise ... Only suggestion is to clear out the advertisers!

Best Wishes to future brides ~

Sophie, first of all, you`re married now. Get a (married) life. You don`t have ANYTHING better to do than to keep logging on to this site, even though you hate vendors? Let the rest of the brides-to-be decide which messages they want to get more info on and which ones they want to ignore.

How do you think Partypop is able to afford this site? Do you think they do it out of the goodness of their heart for people like you? Vendors/advertisers are who pay for many things so while being grateful for the site, you need to be grateful that there ARE vendors who can keep it alive. If you just want to chat without advertisers, pick up the phone and call a friend. Or better yet, TALK TO YOUR HUSBAND!

Thanks for the NASTY response. I would bet my life YOU ARE INDEED A VENDOR! I am very happily married now and I did and still do find this site EXTREMELY USEFUL as I am now the maid of honor in my best friend`s wedding & I am helping her with her planning. I understand vendors play a huge part in supporting a site however I do not feel future brides need to be harassed by vendors. They clog up all the positive posts!! This site is or was one of the few that had hardly any vendors bringing it down. Posts are good until all the vendors clog it up with their advertising … and I’m sure other people agree. Other brides and future brides input on where they purchased their items & the great buys they found influenced my purchasing decision 100%. I think it’s important to share good buys. Of course a vendor isn’t going to say "hey you can find your items cheaper over there!" Hopefully you’re not engaged or I feel sorry for your future husband with the shitty attitude you conveyed in your previous response. If you are a vendor you better change that ATTITUDE – especially if you’re a wedding planner! Imagine that nightmare!

Just a little positive note!

Sophie -

I`m with you ! That negative person is definitely a vendor in disguise so don`t waste your time! If they are not a vendor they are very nasty & need to go get a little if you get the hint..... PartyPop is able to afford this awesome site because they have a PAID ADVERTISING SECTION FOR VENDORS – not because cheap vendors plug their business on message boards hoping to catch a little business. Let`s keep the smut out! You go girl! Pass on some of the good buys you got to others – I’m a December bride!

You sound like one of the vendors who are not pushy & would look to help a Bride rather than trying to make a quick dollar on her. I think the point Sophie was trying to make is that this site offers a paid advertising section for advertisers. It`s not fair for vendors that pay to legitimately advertise & then others just get to plug themselves in a quick email on a community board. As it is brides don`t have time on their hands to sift through advertisers posts & as you can see the people on these boards help each other to find the better vendors, and offer wedding advice, which saves lots of time surfing the net. If you can offer advice & at the same time sell something I think that`s great. On the other hand there are vendors on here that look to sell people winter color items when they have a summer wedding, etc. You get the idea. Stuff like that makes me sick. I feel if somebody has the knowledge to offer advice & they do that is great, but you have to admit you see some crazy things vendors say on this site which ruins it for others that TRULY can help. I guess what comes around goes around. Best of Luck with your business.
