Bat Mitzvah Candle Lighting Alternative

It was suggested that we do a "Past Present Future candle lighting at our daughter`s bat mitzvah. Has anyone done this? We need suggestions as to what to say for each candle. We plan to only light the 3 candles. We`d like to know what you did and how it went.
