My fiancee are thinking of eloping to Victoria, BC (Canada). We are wondering if anyone has advice for where to get pictures done? or what the weather is like in the fall??

Beacon hill park is beautiful! Also the capitol building and in front of the inner harbour are also nice (all are within a 5 minute walk as well). Plus they also have carraige rides in that area too. You can also look up Craigdarroch castle as well, it really is quite beautiful (it`s an old castle that is being restored), that`s in central Victoria. You can also look up ( i can`t remember the name though), there is a beautiful solariam garden behind the empress hotel (on the inner harbour). There is a small fisherman`s wharf there as well (another 5-10 minute drive) or buchart gardens (which could be pricey). Hope this helps. (as for the weather, i don`t know, i have visited a few times, but not in the fall). My sister lives there though and i could ask her for you and post it at a later date.
Goodluck

Just got back from a vacation in Seattle and Vanouver Island, Canada. We passed through Victoria on the way up to our lodge and back (we stayed in Ladysmith at Kiwicove Lodge). I thought Victoria was beautiful. I heard that the Butchart Gardens in Victoria are gorgeous.. I am sure that they would give you a permit to take picture.
If you decide to go further north (we went kayaking for a few days), I highly recommend Kiwicove Lodge and Sealegs Adventures. My boyfriend proposed at Kiwicove. The owners were great and were in on it. Good luck! We loved our trip!

Just to let you know...Butchart Gardens are gorgeous but they will not admit anyone in wedding attire! Good luck!

Also check out butterfly gardens and Crystal gardens (my fav!). We were at both this past weekend for a visit and both allow wedding parties (at crystal gardens, you can even have your ceremony and pics and reception there, it is a large green house with tropical plants, parrots, birds, and monkeys and butterflies, it is gorgeous and only about $900 canadian (very reasonable) for a reception.
Good luck

Weather in Victoria is good until October. Beacon Hill Park and Hatley Park are two favourite places for having pictures taken.
