Should I Have Damas

You know what I`m also thinking the same way that your mom is I think that they would steel the attention and that is why I don`t want to have any damas.

That`s all my mom would tell me but I still had 5 damas. It was always my dream that in my quinceanera I would have damas. And how could people not pay attention to the quinceanera??? Yeah peopl will comment on the damas dresses or little things but people will always talk about you. They go to celebrate YOUR 15th birthday...not to see if the damas look good.

I felt the exact way you did...plus i don`t really like that much attention, so when it came down that my best girl buds weren` gonna be there, to practise, if i couldn`t have them screw all the damas, so as i waz left with all guys, when we practise, i really like it, it`s fun cuz there`s alll these cool things ya get to do, and i always think what if I had damas i couldn`t do this this and this,,, and the truth is i actually like being the center of attention for once, and it doesn`t feel greedy, it`s kinda like your doing a group project at school , except everyones always given you the cool job, instead of like no one cares they always wanna take control, and be greddy, they always want you, the chambelans that it... It`s fun!

I have been a dama and I have also attended several quinceaneras recently. At almost every one some of the damas didn`t show up for church and so their chambelans refused to walk down the aisle and some of them didn`t show up at all. When we had practices for the waltz the damas rarely showed up. I`m doing without damas for my quinceanera and just having a chambelan de honor.

Dang, I didn`t know girs that are supposedly friends do that stuff. My damas never did that to me only one dropped out and that was becuz she didn`t have a ride. I had problems with the guys. 2 dropped out and then at the end we had to kick off a girl becuz we couldn`t get her one. Just me, I had asked like 15 guys and a lot of ppl in it also chipped in and we just couldn`t find anybody. But if you have shitty friends then I guess don`t get damas. But if you have loyal and responsible friends...get them.

I had my quinceanera it was tight with the damas but some damas do take away all the attention one dama was tryin to get my escort. I got pissed but the rest were fine. Its hard cuz mi amigos wouldnt show up for the practices and the guys would do the same. If u get them in gear its all bueno. I think you should its part of tradition.. Oh yeah dont let them look better than u!lol..oh yeah get ur friends that u trust and that are responsible and u know they will show up and not start fights.. Laterz

Mine is in 3 days. I ended up having 8 out of 14 couples afterall. The problem that I always have is if the dama shows up, then the escort doesn`t. I think I like it better now the way it is. 8 couples is so much easier than 14.

I think that you should have damas i mean i am gonna have them....they wont take all the attention trust me.............thats why you are in a big beautiful pretty huge dress and you arnt supposed to make them look all that nice.....im gonna have a huge white dress with a crown and everything.........im gonna have my damas with a pretty(not all that fancy) dress so that they dont take the attention...remeber your the star...you supposed to be the most beautiful one there....not your damas lol.....just dont let your damas have a buffy dress and they wont get all that attention ~*~*~*~*

Look gurl u should have damas becuz wut better to have ur friends there by ur side its fun to dance and make the suprise dance everything coms together the quinceanera will have ALL the attention becuz its a big stage and ur sharing it with the ppl u love believe me im having my 15 with damas when we practice its so fun and they well be by ur side on ur day and well make u laugh do u get me now

I need help deciding whether to have damas or not. I really want my friends to be with me, but I think it would be weird without chambelanes. It is really hard for me to decide and I do not have a lot of time. Mine is in April `04. My mom said that I have to be responsible for damas and chambelanes going to practice and the things that come with this. So if anyone can e-mail with replies, I would really appreciated.

Well my Quince is in November `04, and I am doing a double with me and my sister. Although I hate this Idea, I think it will be cool. But even though Damas sort of take attention away from u they make up a part in the Quince. I think they should be there on ur special day, cause there your friends and they love you. I think u should cause that makes a better party... Hope I helped u...

Hey grls..ma party is in 6 months n im not having ne damas but anyways listen i was just part of a quinceanera and ma homegurl had 16 couples n 3 of the guys never showed up the day of the party..i mean it ended up working out but u really dont wanna go through the stress of doing that. Because then wen it comes time to gettin a dress for the girls u gotta all agree on a price range, n what dress looks good on all but hey its your choice.. I hope it works out for you good luck

What`s up? i personally is on your momma side cuz my sister had one with damas and chambelaines and the damas do take away all of your shine! I should know after all I was one of her damas! They try to like prettyeir than you and plus it even costs more and one of your clos efriends might not be choosen and will be alot of prolbems! So thats just my opinion!
