Tuxes

Hi, I`m getting married in June 09 and am also having a neopolitan (pink, brown, cream) wedding. I want my bridesmaids to wear pink dresses, and I`ve been asked if the groomsmen will wear brown tuxes. To me, that would be ugly! I would like black tuxes but people say since black isnt one of our colors we shouldnt do that. Any suggestions?
