Picking Your Bestman
My brother-in-law (Matt) is getting married next year, and he is in the process of picking his BESTMAN. There will be three (3) groomsman total that includes the bestman. Matt has already asked his good friend Keven. However, he has two brothers (Jeff and Steve), but Steve is the "SPECIAL BROTHER" in my mother-in-law`s eyes. Steve can do no wrong, and he is always protected by MOMMY!
Matt want`s to pick Jeff, my husband his brother as the bestmann and have Steve the other brother as a groomsman. My mother-in-law is saying what about Steve, how is he going to feel, you can`t do that to him.
They let some time pass and know Matt and his bride to be have kinda dropped the hint that Jeff is going to be the bestman. My mother-in-law is saying either pick them both or neither one. She has said that if Steve get`s upset, that they can call off the whole thing because she won`t go!
So know Matt and his bride are thinking of asking the friend to be the best man just to make my mother in law happy!!!! This is after making them switch from a friday night wedding to saturday because my mother in law claims no one would come.
This isn`t right or is this? HELP

Oh dear oh dear, what a mess. I cannot say this firmly enough, please do not let this womam demand what she is demanding, you guys are all grown adults and do not in any way need her immature antics thrown at you. Tell her to mind her own business and let her now that if she feels like that then it is her descission as to weather she attends the wedding or not. Do not let this woman get away with it, by all means if you want let her have her say but politly tell her the way it is going to be and leave the ball in her court, i would never have a bestman that i really did not want to have only to please someone else, the nerve of some people, good luck
