I have a great household items story for use at a bridal shower and it was a big hit at the one I went to last week. Type the story up and have someone from the bridal party read it as the bride to be unwraps the corresponding numbered gift.

The Story of Bride`s Name and Groom`s Name
By Name of who gift is from

Directions: Read each sentence out loud then fill in the blank by opening the gift with the corresponding item’s number.

- There will come a time in your life when Groom`s name is no longer (Item #1)

- And you will feel like you want to scream and (Item #2)

- But make sure you don’t send an (Item #3)

- Because if you do he might (Item # 4)

- Groom`s name will always bring you (Item #5)

- And you will find him to be a real (Item #6)

- When you are together, you will always find (Item #7)

- Every day when Groom`s name gets home from work, you will look forward to his (Item #8)

- And every night when you go to sleep, the two of you will (Item #9)

- So as you and Groom`s name get together to make this lifelong (Item #10)

- I wish you the best of good luck and good fortune. May your life together be (Item #11)

- And may your children be (Item #12)

And here are the corresponding items:
1 - Mr. Clean
2 - Shout
3 - SOS
4 - Vanish
5 - Cheer
6 - Dynamo
7 - Joy
8 - Caress
9 - Snuggle
10 - Pledge
11 - Fantastik
12 - Good `n Plenty

Enjoy!! Let me know how it goes!!!

I made a poem like this up for my daughters and sons when they had their wedding showers. I just bought the items I thought I could use at the store (i.e. Joy, Gain, Pledge) and then I made up the poem about the way they met and their dating years. Examples: We jumped for JOY when he popped the question. On their wedding they they will PLEDGE to love each other. Our family has GAINed a new son. Stuff like that. Good Luck.
