Hi Sharon,
A few years ago I learned to make simple chair covers by making what looks like an oversized pillowcase. I made mine 36 inches wide and 54 inches deep. Just cut a piece of fabric 36 " X. 108", fold in half lengthwise, stitch up both sides and put a shirttail hem on the bottom. When you place it on the chair it hangs over on both sides, so you bring it together in the back and safety pin the two sides together, allowing the remainder of the fabric to fall down over the pinned area. Tie a sash around it to hold it in place. These are so versatile.Any kind of decoration can be attached to the sash and any kind or color of sash can be use. It`s so quick and easy to make as well and there`s no "chair fitting" to be done.
I hope you can visualize this and it helps.
