Wedding Ediquette

Please Advise.

My husband and I are divorced. There are three children who live with me. His niece is getting married. Should invitations to the wedding be sent directly to the children or should they be sent to him and addressed to Mr. X and children?

I am not 100% positive, but I think that the invitation should be sent to Mr. X and family. Hope this helps!
