Davids Bridal Is Junk
Anyone who gets your dress from a Davids Bridal is the same as saying you got your dress at K-mart or Walmart.
Get smart and buy real gowns from real stores with real service.
Davids quality is terrible. Gowns for the masses and the real is joke is you pay just just as much or more than you would for real designer gowns.
Don`t let the Oleg name fool you. He doesn`t design a thing. He is like 100 years old.
Wake up girls...bridal is special...don`t be mistreated at a Davids where they laugh at you and treat you like cattle. They laugh all the way to the bank.
By the way, Davids is a major investor in they use all your personal information to their benefit.

Thank you for your comment regarding David`s Bridal. What actually happened to you or your friend? My friend is about to go there and I would appreciate any comments. I had a great experience but did finally buy the dress at another shop. The worse was my sister-in-law, we ordered the bridesmaid dresses 4 months ahead and got them the Friday before the Saturday wedding. Praise be both my mother and I knew how to sew and fixed my dress, the other gals had like rags and they were expensive too

Jeez! I`ve never heard this before! My sister-in-law did fine there, but I`m starting to freak out because I just ordered my dress from there today! Any advise? I`m terrified!

I will try a different store too, I was very dissapointed at Davis, I got mine at e-ba, and my dress is the prettiest, I love it, look everywhere first, you can find really pretty dresses for better prices than Davis

David Bridals has been/is being investigated for fraud....they are not ordering new gowns when they say there are...instead they call around to all their stores to see if they have the dress they tell you they are ordering "new, never tried on, not a sample" and if one of the other stores have it on the floor, they ship it to them and then they tell you it is "new"...
Be careful.....I`ve never heard anything good about Davids bridal, ever!

Please believe it and beware. I am talking from experience. They advertise big but their customer service in Las Vegas sucks!! They are supposed to be there to help you and they just want your money. Once you pay and you change your mind after your order comes back and you don`t like it, no exchange, no refund and I asked the manager before I purchased the gown and she said that I could exchange for items for the same or greater price as long as I had my receipt and the dress was in new condition, not worn or altered and they gave me such a hard time with doing that exchange as if the money came out of their pocket. You may get better service at the swap meet! If you have the time to save the money, get your dress and accessories from somewhere that appreciates you and your money (business) and take your time. Oh, don`t show your face in David`s to much, they will label you and prejudge your business. We can all do better. BBB needs to know! It has been a true loss to my special day! As long as I can help one. Each one reach one, each one teach one. They lost the rest of my business!

Please, everyone who has had a bad David`s Bridal experience-file a report with the Better Business Bureau, as well as your state`s Attorney General. It is the only way anything will ever change. They cannot continue to get away with such behavior.

Wish I had read these storied before I had my own. I made an appt. Oct. 13th to try on dresses. I don`t know why they bother making appts since the lady who was supposed to be waiting on us spent the entire time waiting on another girl. We brought out own dresses over, put them on, re hung them and moved on to the next. I finally did buy one, but needed to get it "ordered". I paid $550 for it and that was a decent price. I picked it up today and saw the same dress now on sale for $350. I asked if I could get the discount and they said they have a policy stating only within 10 days....I couldn`t find that on my receipt, or posted anywhere in the store. I tried to find a complaint e-mail for the corporate office, but ironically there isn`t a corporate comment line available. With all the complaints I have read here, I can see why. Better to ignore it. I won`t ever go back there.

I too, have had 2 horrible experiences with David`s Bridal. 1 when I was buying a wedding dress for myself, and 2 when I was buying a bridesmaids dress for my friends wedding. Both times, they were not helpful. The dresses that I did try on were NOT good quality at all. Being a seamstress, myself, I noticed the halfway sewed on trimmings and laces. Many of the inside edges were raw and not finished. The zipper on one of them was barely staying on. That was for the wedding dress. And then when I went back for the my bridesmaid dress, they didn`t have any sizes that fit because I am plus size. So, eventually I found out that I could order the fabric. The fabric ordering & shipping process took forever. They also screwed up because they only sent me a part of what I purchased. So, I had to wait for the rest. In the end, I made my wedding dress and bridesmaid dress. So, the moral of the story, DO NOT SHOP DAVIDS BRIDAL. Horrible service, they don`t have enough help. They are rude, and make you feel like you`re wasting their time. You spend forever waiting in their stores. And their quality sucks.

I actually had a good experience at Davids. I had bought a dress in August and 3 months later I had changed my mind and I did like one of the Oleg Cassini dresses. They let me exchange my dress no hassles. Of course the Oleg dress was more expensive, but I still did not get heckled for the return. The girls there have been really nice to me as well and I did receive good service everytime that I went there.

Yes david`s is Junk, Thank god I did not buy anything there. I went to check the place once and did not like the quality of the dresses. They looked cheap and I know nothing of bridal gowns. I could just tell though. I advice you ladies who have bought stuff there and changed your mind to go and demand getting an exchange at least. If they refuse make a scene and make sure other brides there know. So they won`t buy there.

I had a wonderful experience at the Northridge, CA store. I had walked in after a horrible time at the Mall. And when I walked in; it was a Sunday afternoon, it was crowded but my consultant was wonderful. I didnt realize you needed an appointment but she took me right away.
I did buy my dress there: and I recommend them to anyone. My dress wasnt expensive at all; and if it was Kmart or Walmart quality as the poster stated. Find with me. Its a wedding dress; why would I spend thousands on it??
I ended up buying another dress off EBAY. But I enjoyed my experience at Davids Bridal.

I agree that David`s Bridal is an overall travesty to Brides!! I have had two experiences with David`s Bridal. The first time was with my friends wedding when I noticed the poor quality, poor service, and poor attitude toward the clientele, and the second has been with my own wedding. The ONLY reason I stepped foot in the establishment a second time is because they had a dress that I could not find anywhere else. I am thankful that I called for directions, because I was informed that an appointment was required. How would anyone know that? I was able to make a last minute appointment, but throughout the whole appointment, the lady was servicing someone else. You are hearded in like cattle. Another thing that bothered me is that they will not help you or allow you to try on a dress without first giving them all of your personal information. They don`t need to know my address and phone number to see if a dress fits. They outright refused to help me when I wouldn`t give it to them up front. Their marketing scams were more important than the clientele. I don`t know about you, but I am tired of junk mail, telemarketing, and spam email! Planning a wedding is time consuming as it is! After making a huge scene, one nice sales lady did agree to help me try on the one dress that I came for. It was beautiful! But I am so reluctant to buy it because of my experience there. I feel like I am supporting a horrible organization. I was appauled at the way they were lying to women about how their dresses looked and how the brides maid dresses matched so well. They didn`t match at all! I am sorry, but anyone knows pink and burnt orange do not match! I felt sorry for some of the girls there who were counting on the professional advice of the staff. David`s Bridal should be considered last resort for bridal needs. Some of the staff are genuine and helpful, some of the dresses are beautiful and designed with quality. Its not a total loss. But my advice is to beware and don`t give people your personal information just because they want it! You are asking to be used and abused by those who will. And use your best judgment...some people will tell you whatever you want to hear. Take a friend that you trust will give you the truth about your dress. There may be a better style dress for you.

The David`s Bridal in Altamonte Springs (right outside of Orlando), Florida is fine! I got my dress there and my flower girl dress and shoes there and everything went great. My dress was beautiful and came in right on time as expected. My flower girl dress was adorable.. I was a walk - in with my mom and infant son and they gave me wonderful service. One lady helped me and only me the entire time. She helped me get into the dresses and everything! At one point almost the entire staff was over admiring my son. I don`t know about the David`s Bridal but from personal experience I can say that the one in Altamonte Springs Florida is wonderful!

Wow! I am happy to hear that I wasn`t the only one! I spent over $800 buying my dress and viel from David`s Bridal only to find out that there was a stain on my white dress that they were not able to get out! We had noticed this stain when I tried it on and was assured that the women in alterations would be able to get it cleaned and pressed. I dropped off my dress at the shop three weeks ago and they keep telling me that I have to wait longer. I am getting married in mid-December and they have told me they won`t be able to tell if the stain will come out til December 1st! What am I supposed to do if they can`t get it out? They have refused to give me my money back and are reluctant to give me a store credit! If you have any other choices, do NOT go to David`s Bridal. They treat you like dirt and contradict themselves...even the managers!

Oh` my god I am so so sorry to hear that about your dress. I would go off on them. I wish I was you so I can create the biggest scandal ever in their store. That would so not happen to me...No way in hell!!! I wish I can help you. Their store is doggy pooop! Do not buy nothing there brides! If you do buy anything there and alterations or other stuff need to be done to your gown have them write it down, that way you can sue them if anything goes wrong!

I`ve purchased two wedding dresses from David`s and they have been very nice. Sure, you get your quacks just like everywhere, but overall I was satisfied with the dress and the service.
If you`re not happy why not file a complaint with David`s Bridal customer service instead of wasting your time complaining and putting down David`s Bridal online? Like all store, if you don`t like it, go somewhere else! Yes, word of mouth is great, but everyone has their opinions. I can imagine that some people who have written here must have been a real pain the @ss to have to deal with.
Get over it...move on...

This is in response to the "Anonymous" person who posted about David`s Bridal being great. The reason we are posting here is to warn others. You don`t know if I`ve sent a complaint to David`s Bridal or not. Obviously David`s Bridal isn`t going to post here and warn others. And as for us posting here being "a real pain the @ss to have to deal with." Well, let me tell you that I work in retail. I know what it`s like to have to deal with customers. I am not a pain in the ass to retail workers. Because it sucks to work retail and to have to put up with annoying customers. Let me tell you that I was NEVER once an ass to the David`s Bridal reps. This is a thread about David`s Bridal sucking, and not about being great. Those of us who have had bad experiences are making others aware.
