HELP! Wedding Budget Under $3,000!!!
I am going out of my mind trying to find a way to have a wedding on a $3,000 budget! We`ve had a LOT of financial difficulties this year with my fiance losing his job and our son being born with a heart defect causing him to have 3 heart surgeries during his first 3 months of life. Any advice would surely be appreciated! I want to get married ASAP. We`ve been together long enough without saying I DO... Thanks

Hey I can completely understand what you mean! I went through the same thing we had to rush together our wedding before my husband went into basic training. Here`s what I did. I went to david`s bridal when they have the sales for dressed 99 and up. Just stick with the baisics. I got married at a local church that allowed us to use their facilities. For table settings I used black table cloths (it went with the colors) with these clear crystals from party city on top with vases from the dollar store colored the water with food coloring so it was purole and floating candles. For food we served PASTA chicken feticcini alfredo with ceasar salad and we had a friend cook it but it was in the "catering" serving dishes you can also buy at party city. Pasta is the cheapest but elegant thing to serve. For a punch we had sherbet ice cream and sprite soda pored over it. It may sound odd but it`s great. If you need a phtogorapher check me out I have an amazing package right now

3000 is alot if you think outside the box. 1st look at items you can use again in your home. That include centerpieces. Think about having a different centerpiece on each table but in coordinating coloors they did it on platinum bride it look good.Check the cleatance ailse in Homegoods, Tjmaxx and Target they sell beatiful crystal candalabras that are on clearance now for about 20 dollars and remember you could always buy different colors and spray paint them the color you want like gold silver or black so set your colors on what you find be open to your style and it will come together. Use alot of tealight candles for a evening wedding they are inexpensive and give alot of ambience. Ikea sells the little glass tealight holders 12 in apak for 2.99 if you bought about 10 paks and 3 paks of a 100 tealights that would give you a great romantic feel for about 40 dollars and some tall candelabras as your centerpieces and flower petalsin your color scheme. For flower petals go to michaels and look at the clearance blooms and cut the petals off yourself you get 100 off of one bouqet instead of buying the petals in the box and get enough to put around the candles and on the floor. If you have a Christmas tree store near you they have a wide selection of items that you can use including table cloths that are 2 in a pak that feel like cloth but are throwaways. I also used a website for chair covers and overlays and ties that totally transformed the room and made it elegant. With food and decorations we spent 1550 for everything including a community center which was new and had a full kithen and ice machine. That is without clothing and if you want real flowers incorporated. If you have any questions let me know.

You can get 100 roses for around $100 at BigRose.com. I ordered my roses from them and did my own bouquet of all roses (not hard at all) and used them for centerpieces also. I used shot glasses in a chrome holder and put the head of a rose in each shot glass. I bought ribbon from Walmart in the color of my choice and wrapped it around the sides of the chrome holder so you really couldn`t see the shot glasses. People asked if they could take the centerpieces home because they liked them so much! I also know someone who purchased 94 gerber daisies for around $100; they too used them for decorations. If you go this route, just be sure that you ask for delivery for two days before your event (maybe three for the roses) so they have time to open and just in case there is a lag in shipping (mine came a day later than I requested, but they still looked great!!). I can send you pictures of the center pieces if you would like to see them.you would ilke to see the pictures ( I also have pictures of my bouquet).

Alanda, I loved the replies and ideas people gave you. Please let me know how you did it on this budget. I`m thinking and rethinking, but my husband is pretty picky, and I can`t figure it out... My budget is 6000, and if possible, I`ld like to spend less than that. I`ll have 100 people in my reception. What are you serving as food?

I bought my dress off Craigs list. The lady never wore it, for $70.00, really beautiful. No harm no foul, if it did not fit I would simply resell.
I got flowers from bigrose.com as well. AWESOME.
I also had a candy buffet and got the glass ware off craig`s list for 30.00.
AMAZING DEALS~to be had.
I am the bargain queen

Hi
I read your post and I want to help. I just did a wedding for a friend of mine at my church and it cost wayy under 3,000.00. Did you want just ideas or someone to help you with it all. I can do both. I am Geneva and I am a wedding coordinator and make up artist.
I made her dress, took the pictures, made her flowers for the entire wedding party, and did her makeup for her and her bridesmaids.
I can do it all and have references with pictures.
Let me know what you think and I will be happy to help anyway I can.
I live in Texas.
