Fall Weddings

I am getting married on October 24, 2009. We had to wait because we are paying for everything ourselves and we don`t have the money right now. I am hoping that we can keep this wedding under 4000.00. We have pretty much agreed on everything except the food at the reception. I say find a way to have a dinner, he says too expensive only finger foods. I know a dinner is expensive so i need some ideas how can i save money but not have starving guests? please help! o and the guest list ranges from 50-75 people.
