Old Hollywood Glamour Ideas PLEEEZE!!!
I am planning an `Old Hollywood Glamour` wedding theme but am stuck on a few ideas. I am using black and white with red accents for my colour scheme. The men are all wearing zuit suits and I am going to be in a vintage style lace gown. We are going to have diamonds and ostrich feathers mixed in with the bouquets, accessories and anywhere else. I have still not been able to come up with an idea for a wedding cake or for centerpieces. I don`t have a very expensive budget so am trying to do as most of this with myself, friends and family. If anyone has any ideas on these or anything else that might add to my magical night I would be so appreciative. Thank you again and I hope to get lots of replies.

That was a great idea for the popcorn centerpieces. We do them at YourMomentsCreated. So, if I can help anyone, let me know. Another idea is to have a ticket stub made on the computer and then glue it to a bag of miniature popcorn. Put a ribbon around it and guest will love it! Also, why not have individual favor bags made in red filled with popcorn and tied in black with a tag that reads, "Love isn`t only in the movies" or something like that? Have you looked at the ostrich feather centerpieces? they are pretty & come in different colors. Very hollywood.

I am very interested in the pictures of your wedding, we are going for the vintage feel as we are having the wedding at a place called Venetian Terrace in Las Colinas, Texas. It has that old world feel. Our date is not until August 09. I did purchase the Eiffel Tower Vases as suggested.

I think silver sparkling centerpieces would be very silver screen, and save you a ton of money on flowers. I am planning to use mirrored mosaic hurricanes to get the same effect, on top of a 14" round mirror. I think they are very glam!

I guess you can`t post photos up here? What I have is a mosaic hurricane - I`m going to use it with a candle, on top of a mirror, so lots of reflection and sparkle - if you send me your email address I can forward pics!

I would love to see your photo`s. I am planning a similar wedding. Mine is based moreso on the Great Gatsby. The dresses in that movie were absolutely beautiful. However, I need to see decorating ideas.

Thanks for the ideas! I found a similar idea, with a hurricane vase and a candle in the middle, surrounded by pearls. I think I may use those on half the tables and flowers on the other half....not sure yet!!
I also want to find an old phone for my name card table....no idea where to look!
