Monique Lhuillier Scarlet For Sale - Size 4
Never felt more beautiful than I did in this gown. I truly felt like a movie star and received NUMEROUS compliments from not only friends and family, but the event coordinator, the service staff and the hotel staff. Several of them sincerely told me that it was the most beautiful dress they had ever seen (and they see dresses every weekend!) To make it even better it was SO comfortable. It doesn`t pinch, bind, scratch or pull. The silk slip and lace dress overlay simply drape across your body, accentuating every curve.
The sweetheart neckline and trumpeted skirt give the dress a romantic, classic feel. The back, however is your "WOW" factor. The open back is gorgeous and adds a touch of sensuality. The dress is in two pieces, constructed of a separate ivory, silk-champagne underslip and a French point d`Alençon silk needlelace overlay embellished with pearl buttons down the back.

This dress is very forgiving and will stretch or drape to fit sizes both above and below the measurements I posted. I purchased the dress from Pearl`s Place, a reputable wedding dress store in New Orleans and still have the original receipt. (WWW.pearlsplace.Com) The only alteration I had done was to add additional hook closures at the top of the back. The original string closures are still in place. The new closures can be removed easily without harming the lace. No material was removed from the dress for any alterations. I am 5`6" and wore two inch heels for the wedding and reception. The hemline just touched the floor.
I wore this dress for my October 2006 wedding. I have not had it cleaned as that there are no reputable wedding dress cleaners in my area (I didn`t want to just send it to any cleaner). As far as I can see, there is a little smudge on the underside of the hem of the silk under-slip. This is not noticeable while the dress is on. It will most likely come out during dry-cleaning as well. After thorough investigation, I cannot see any other stains or flaws on the dress.
This dress is in the Spring 2005 collection. If you click on Collections, Ad Campaign and 2005, it is the fourth dress from the left.
Feel free to e-mail me with any questions!!

I have a Monique Lhuillier size 6 wedding gown that I wore for my wedding in May 2008. I was ready to put it on ebay when I saw these posted questions.
It just returned from from the cleaners. I sent it to a very high end establishment in New York City that is familiar with The Alecon lace that is used for this gown.
I have the following which can be sold by piece or together,
1. Taupe colored rhinestone sash by Monique Lhuliier (cost $500)
2. Antique lace veil that worked well with the ivory color of the dress. It fell to my waist. It covered my open back for the ceremony.
3. Ivory Scarlet dress with inner slip
I spent $800 adding a bustle and other small (hidden) handmade loops and hooks to keep the straps in place. This was great because I could move very freely and nothing came out of place the entire night.
This dress is fabulous and I still get compliments. Please contact me with any questions.
