Surprise 40th For My Boyfriend

I`ve rented a hall and dj for my boyfriend`s surprise 40th bday party next month.I don`t have a theme, but like black decorations.Favors will be blackwrapped candy bars. Any special little touches I could do?? Thanks for any advice!
