Horrible Experience
Background: My sister, my maid of honor, ordered her Alfred Angelo 6129SN in Espresso bridesmaid dress the last week of February. I directed all five of my bridesmaids to order from the HOB site as I had a friend who had great success with you for her May wedding. Four of the bridesmaids, besides my sister, received their dresses this month, so she has been trying to call and check on her order and been given the run-around for two weeks.
Therefore I called today and my call was answered by someone named Gaye. After much probing, I was told me that she had been credited on May 9th- the dress was CANCELED!!! She said they emailed my sister 3 times in March and one time in May to ask about rush charges, when I asked how many times they tried to CALL my sister, she said none. In this day in age, you must know as a business that email goes to SPAM filters- especially when you try that much in a short period of time. Let me ask two things 1) Why would you not just ship the dress standard if you never heard a response on rush charges or 2) why wouldn`t you just try to CALL her and speak to her live to tell her you`re going to CANCEL her dress order and that she won`t have a maid of honor dress to wear in her sister`s wedding?
I do not understand the logic behind that process. Why would you not want her business? So after Gaye tells this to me, with absolutely no sympathy for the situation, I ask "besides figuring out why you would take those steps, what do we need to do to get my sister a dress ASAP". She proceeds to tell me that HOB will not be able to get her a dress and that we`re out of luck. I hope the conversation was recorded so they can hear the tone she used with me- I have never been treated so poorly in my life.
After much back and forth with Gaye, I explained to her that I`d given their company 5 dresses of businesses and despite this huge mistake on the part of House of Brides I was still willing to give it another shot just to give my sister a dress, she said she couldn`t help me. I asked to speak to her manager- she said NO! She said I could only email- for all I know the email isn`t even attended. I asked to then speak to another representative and she decline and proceeded to HANG UP ON ME!
