**Irish Dancers**
I am currently planning a wedding and I really want to try and bring unique aspects (entertainment, decor, etc) to my reception. Having an Irish background I thought it would be a good idea to incorporate Irish jig dancers for a break in the typical reception. I have in mind maybe a 15 minute to half hour portion of the reception to the dancers. The problem is I have no idea where to look or start. Any ideas or tips?

Where do you live? I teach Irish dance in Michigan and can direct you to a school near you...(I`m also getting married in 17 days!)

Thank you for your reply! I live in the Chicago-land area. More specifically about a half hour south west of chicago. Any information you can provide would be very helpful!

Sorry about the delay--we were married on Friday and it was AWESOME!!!! Some of our dancers performed at the reception and everyone loved it.
You have lots of schools to choose from in the Chicago area--here are a few:
Mullane Irish Dance Academy (773) 775-9807
Cross Keys School info@crosskeys.org
Dennehy School info@dennehydancers.com
McNulty Irish Dancers (847) 698-4434
Mayer School mayerschool@aol.com
Trinity Irish Dance Academy (773) 774-5961
World Academy (630) 789-1128
Good luck!

Just a postscript to avoid any confusion--the dancers who performed at my wedding were my own students, personal friends, and family members. I do not mean to imply that our school provides dancers for weddings. I simply directed a woman in another city to dance schools in her area--some schools provide dancers, some do not. Certainly no school is under any obligation to do so. I was only trying to be helpful, sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
