Mixed Culture, Mixed Religion Wedding

Getting married next year`s August. What a mess my head is right now, planning two weddings. One here at homeland and another at my hubby`s, half the world away. I`m chinese buddhist, he`s a free thinker- family`s catholic. Anyone know an affordable wedding coordinator in Portugal? Should I convert to catholicism? Should we marry in the church? He`s doesn`t think it`s necessary, but i feel obliged to do so for his family.
