1940`s Wedding
I`m also planning a 1940`s wedding and have gotten alot of splendid ideas just surfing the web. But first I did some research on the era. It was very Hollywood and glamour. So my gown is a replica of a starlet`s day gown, very liquid sleek, sophisticated, sexy with sholder pads. The veil is very short attached to to a splendid 40`s hat that lays low down near an eye, at an angle. Calla lilies were the accepted wedding flower. My centerpieces are really neat (e-mail me and I`ll send you a picture). Favors are miniature calla lily candles. I`m also having a crescent moon fashioned to use as a backdrop for pictures (remember seeing those starlets sitting on a half moon looking so sad). I`ll be more than happy to send anyone pictures if interested.

Hi!
I`m actually planning a wedding based on the 40`s now... Our date is April 18th 2009... I would like to see your photos if possible... Espeically of the "crescent moon" you spoke about. I have been doing research on the time period as well, and have several ideas I`m already going with. However, because of religous beliefs with my family, we aren`t having any drinking or a dance. So I`m trying to come up with alternatives for entertaining the guests... Any ideas for that as well?
Thanks!

I would love to have any pictures that you are willing to send me. I am just beginning the process of helping my friend plan her 40`s themed wedding on a budget. We would like to make a lot of the decorations. Any ideas will be nice thanks
