Bridal Shower
I am having a bridal shower for my Neice, and i have heard that it is proper ediquette to, for the rehearse bouquet, put all of the ribbons and bows from their gifts together onto a paper plate and use that. Is this true? Also, i have heard that breaking the ribbon can be a sign of `bad luck`. Is this also true?

Hi I just had my best friends shower and what they chose to do was have one girl usually the MOH copy down all the gifts she was given and from who on a sheet of paper so she can send thank you cards to them afterwards, one young lady also attached all the bows to a heart shaped piece of cardboard I made and covered it with white paper. I also added a floral wire stem thru the center of the heart so she could use the day of rehearsal as a bouquet. We also used another piece of cardboard or a plate to add extra bows to make her a hat. All you need to do is make 2 slits on each side of the plate to pull a piece of ribbon thru long enough so she can tie around her chin for a bonnet type thing. I knew she was having a large bridal shower so that`s why I made one of cardboard to hold more bows but a paper plate is fine. They say you can`t cut the ribbons off her presents cause it`s bad luck. So she`ll need help pulling them down the gifts to make it easier for her. Hope this helped. If you need favor ideas feel free to email me at boriqa2000 @ aol.com
