Why would you propose to a man? He needs to pay for the wedding. Maybe he needs 3 or 4 jobs. Both of you can work hard and then save up for wedding. You don`t need an elaborate wedding. As much as i am enjoying reading all this but i think we need to eliminate all this anger because I do agree with people who said marriage is very important and it is every girls dream. I also do believe that asking for sponsorship is not a very smart idea. You don`t have to have elaborate reception. If you have good friends and family they will help you. I
I have budget for my wedding and am working very hard for it. I do have very close friends who knows what my dreams are and willing to make things happen for me but i can`t accept that because i want to do things according to what i can afford. I hope you understand what i am trying to say.

When i got married, in total it costed me less than $200. After a year now we have saved up for reception. Now i am celebrating with my friends and they all are very proud of me.

Not much of a church or religion person, but Im pretty sure God loves everone equally. Even the rude and tackless. You need to go back to church, and who brings God into an arguement anyways. Isnt that blasphomy or something? LOL. Once again not much of a church person.
