I`m going to a quinceanera and i`ve never been to one before. What sort of dress should I wear? What kind of dancing is there? how long is the church service?

The church service can be as short as 1/2 hour or as long as 1 1/2 hours long. Dress should be what I call your "sunday`s best" since this is a special event- what would you wear to church/ wedding. Depending on your friend some Quinces have a spanish band with a DJ later. It`s a birthday party so go and enjoy.
