Winter Wonderland Wedding
My fiancee and I are getting married December 31st, 2008 at 8 p.m and ringing in the New Year with friends and family at the reception. We were thinking about doing a winter wonderland wedding using blue, silver and white. If anyone has any ideas please please please email me! Thank you so much!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. A winter wonderland is one of the most beautiful weddings -- I think. I am a Wedding Planner/Coordinator, and I love doing this theme.
My main idea is to use lots of white tulle or gossamer to have the effect of snow and sprinkle glitter on it. This can be used on the floor around the stage of the ceremony along with white lights, too. It can be bunched along the aisle with the lights to have the effect of mounded snow and use small evergreen trees at the start of the aisle on each side. And cover the aisle with a white runner or white silk flower petals. This will make it seem as if you are walking into the wonderland. And the trees can be used on the stage, too.
For a snow effect, hang glittery, white snowflakes (ornaments at stores) from the ceiling, scattered about, with invisible fishing line. Make them different lengths.
Candles are always the romantic and wonderland accent.
Maybe this will give you some ideas!!
